The inauguration ceremony of the "Wastewater Treatment Plant" in Prizren

Today Nov. 3 was held the inauguration ceremony of the Wastewater Treatment Plant in Prizren, which is the first of its kind in our country, in the role of investor KfW, the Government of Kosovo, and the Municipality of Prizren, while the beneficiary of this project is K.R.U “Hidroregjioni Jugor”.

During this phase plant as such, has a capacity of wastewater treatment for 50,000 residents and by 2036, with the construction and implementation of additional facilities, it is expected to cover the entire city of Prizren which has about 140,000 residents.

The purpose of the construction of the Wastewater Treatment Plant in Prizren has been that all wastewater before being discharged into rivers, to be treated and finally as such to be discharged treated. The main reason is to preserve water diversity, the environment, and the health of the population, the last and not least important as one of the criteria of the European Union to enter the EU.

The partnership of the companies p2m-Berlin (Germany) and Alb-Architect (Kosovo), as a consultant selected for this project, has provided consulting services for design and supervision which in cooperation with the Employer has prepared the Employer Requirements and technical specifications by attaching the General Conditions for the Design and Construction of FIDIC (Yellow Pages, 1999 edition).

The partnership p2m-berlin and Alb-Architect is focused on the quality control of the works to be performed in accordance with the requirements provided by the requests of the Employer and the main project. As such it includes continuous quality control of materials and products in accordance with local and European directives and standards in force. Continuous monitoring based on specific templates for each phase, initial approval of materials, quality monitoring during site supervision, and providing ongoing instructions to eliminate possible defects.
