With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Uzbekistan has prioritized improving its healthcare facilities' infrastructure. As part of this effort, UNOPS has embarked on a project to increase Uzbekistan's resilience to the COVID-19 pandemic and other epidemics by equipping and refurbishing the national laboratory system and improving and expanding the COVID-19 treatment capacity.
In particular, ALB-Architect will provide design consultancy services for infrastructure condition assessments and feasibility surveys of needed infrastructure and utilities for the 251 health facilities across Uzbekistan.
This project will provide a unique opportunity to gain first-hand knowledge of the healthcare system in Uzbekistan and a chance to experience the country's culture and history.
